Costume Supervisor

Everybody

Directed by Damien D. Lewis

Costume Design by Karen Ayala

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ adaptation of Everyman, an anonymous 15th century morality play, is a fascinating meta-theatrical comedy that uses 4th wall breaks, live camera feeds and jokes for CalArtians. Each night, five characters (including the titular Everybody) is played by a different actor who was chosen randomly. With items of clothing differentiating characters (Including a scarf crocheted by me), each actors traced pieces for the character they were playing. It was a wonderful play to supervise, especially as it was my first time in the role.
