The Overcoat

Based on Nikolai Gogol’s seminal short story, this staged adaptation is truly bursting with creativity. Telling a story of class disparity, this piece uses its ensemble to create abstract movement sequences to create its emotional atmosphere. We used nearly 50 coats between the cast including ones modified for the character’s personality, a custom jacket for the titular Overcoat and even a coat that came to life, this production was an absolute joy to work on.
